Year-End Accounting Closing Procedures for Churches & Nonprofits

In this webinar, we will go over accounting, bookkeeping, and overall back-office tasks that every church and nonprofit should accomplish at the end of the calendar year. Throughout, we will also illustrate how certain tasks can be done in Aplos, and we’ll briefly discuss the new accounting services we have available for anyone looking for assistance getting things done around the holidays.

Topics we’ll cover:

– Year-End Reminders: Housing Allowance, W-4s, Notice to Donors, Christmas Gifts

– Year-End Transactions: Donations, Reimbursements, Payroll

– Accounts Review: Annual Reports, Bank Account Balances, Fund Balances, Internal Controls for Next Year, Budget Preparation

– Tax Forms: Review W-4 Forms, IRS Form 1099 for Vendors, Contribution Statements

Megan, the wearer of all hats at Aplos, helps lead the marketing department in Email Marketing, Customer Appreciation, Public Relations, stocking the office fridge, and reveling in her title as Head Lunch Decision Maker for staff lunches. She has a passion for helping others and has a special place in her heart for making others feel appreciated. In her spare time she enjoys torturing her significant other with more DIY projects, writing fiction, reading, and binge watching Netflix.

I registered a couple weeks ago and never received a link to join. I still have not received a link today and the Webinar has already started. Will this be recorded?

    1. Hi Gene!

There is actually only one session for the webinar occurring. The different times you see on the sign up page are for people attending who may be in different time zones.

    1. Hi Patricia!

Unfortunately, no. However, a recording of the webinar will be posted onto the sign up page for those who are unable to attend. If you’ve signed up, you’ll receive a notification when it is posted.

  1. Thursday at 10:00 am is not really a good time for us. Could we view the Webinar later. Both of us who are doing the book keeping are not really available at that time and we would really appreciate it if we could watch later. Please let me know. Thank you.

    1. Hi Pearl!

If you sign up for the webinar, you’ll be notified when we post the recording. It usually takes a day or two for us to upload it.
