The Income Statement is one of the most crucial reports for nonprofits using Aplos. Whether you need to track financial performance, make better decisions about resource allocation, or communicate with stakeholders about your income and expenses, we know how important it is to have a clear and organized Income Statement.
Based on our understanding of the importance of this report and based on feedback from our loyal customers, we’ve made some exciting enhancements to the Income Statement to better align with Aplos users’ needs. The process for Income Statement reporting has not changed— all we’ve done is improved on the existing report to align with our users evolving needs.
That said, ready to experience the revamped Income Statement? Here’s what’s new:
Your Income Statement should help you extract meaningful insights from your income and expense data. We’ve added new filters that allow you to view data in the way that makes most sense for you or your stakeholders. This includes:
We’ve also moved these filters into a cleaner navigation bar so that it’s more intuitive for you to quickly search for specific accounts, funds, and tags when adjusting your report. By applying filters, you can narrow down your income and expense data to only the most relevant information and more quickly identify trends or areas of concern.
Viewing your Income Statement should be easy and flexible. We recognize that different organizations have different needs and expectations when it comes to displaying or formatting income and expense data. We’ve added a new Customize Menu on the Income Statement to provide you with more options.
In this Customize Menu you can:
We know how important it is to share your income & expense with the relevant people, so we've made it easy for you to schedule the Income Statement to be sent via email. Now, when you save your Income Statement, you can automatically share it with your team or stakeholders through our new Email Scheduler feature.
After saving your Income Statement, click the Email icon for the option to choose how and when you'd like to send it. You can:
In addition to the new filters and display options, the user experience of the Income Statement has been given a major facelift. As we continue to make improvements to reports across Aplos, we’re making buttons, text, menus, and other elements look fresher and cleaner.
We’re also making improvements that make reports more intuitive. For example: you can directly edit your company’s logo and the report name directly on the Income Statement report screen, and it updates in real time. You’ll notice that all of your past saved Income Statement reports also have the new look and feel. Any information and settings in your past saved reports have not changed — only the look of the report.
Some of our customers had the chance to test out this new Income Statement. Here’s what they have to say:
“The new Income Statement is professional enough to pull up directly in board meetings. It’s clean, modern, and much more useful,” says Mike Ward, Treasurer at Island Health Foundation.
“The new improvements are fresher. There is a lot of flexibility, and it’s very helpful that we’re able to customize this in a way that works best for us,” says Lindsey Perez, the Executive Director at Rockbridge Area Relief Association.
The votes are in! The Aplos Income Statement improvements are creating a better experience for everyone. Need help managing and editing your Income Statement report? Check out this guide in our Knowledge Base for more details.
