Aplos Interview — Get to know Aaron!

We here at Aplos believe that the nicest people who work here are our support members. One of those members is Aaron Hernandez! It doesn’t matter how crazy of a day it’s been or if a customer just yelled at him, he always maintains a positive morale and a gracious smile on his face. He’s truly a blessing to our team for all of his hard work supporting our customers and for being a great friend to work with! Take a few minutes to learn more about Aaron!

1. Using one word each, describe yourself using only the letters in your name:
A – Affectionate
A – Ambitious
R – Rascal
O – Open
N – Noble

2. What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done and why? (It can be good or bad)
Honestly, I think all of the major life changes I decided to make in 2016 were the craziest things I’ve ever done. I started a brand-new job, that I had NO prior experience for (and look at me now haha), I moved into a house with my beautiful family, and (most importantly) I got married! After all of the craziness I had to endure with these changes, I’m fortunate and thankful to be alive, that I became stronger as a person, and maintained my sanity!

3. If you could go back in time and tell the 16-year-old version of yourself anything, what would it be?

Don’t be afraid of failure, and have faith in yourself. You can do a lot more than you think you can.

4. You got married this past year. What has been the most memorable part so far?

Everything about being married, so far, has truly been the most memorable and rewarding part of my life. However, one of the more memorable parts for me was our honeymoon, when we took a cruise to Mexico. It was a whole combination of firsts for us – First cruise, first time in Mexico (first time being out of the country in general), and first time truly traveling as Mr. & Mrs. Hernandez (because Kat finally finished all of the paperwork for changing her name (which is truly an exhausting process, by the way)). Everything about our trip was simply incredible. And after dating for almost 11 years (High School sweethearts), it was the absolute perfect way to celebrate the fact that we finally made it to married life.

5. Ticketmaster gives you $1000 to see any concert, show, or sporting game. What do you use the money on? Be specific!
I feel like $1000 could go a long way, so I’m going to say that I’d like to go to a San Francisco Giants baseball game and an Imagine Dragons concert. And if there’s anything extra, I’d like to go see a Broadway show like Hamilton or Chicago.

6. Who do you think you take after more, your mom or your dad? And why?

Depends on what day it is haha. I take after both of my parents in a lot of ways, but if I had to pick, I would probably say my mom since we both have a tendency to worry a lot, we’re always smiling or laughing, and we like working with people.

7. What is something that someone might not know about you?
I love to sing. Now, I’m not someone who would be leading the choir, but I like to believe that I can carry a tune pretty well.

8. You somehow find yourself front row to a superhero fight between Spiderman, Wolverine, and Deadpool. Who wins, and why?
Ok. That’s really cruel to choose three of my favorite characters… but if I had to choose… I would have to say Deadpool. The fact that Deadpool and Wolverine have the ability to heal themselves already puts them at an advantage over Spiderman (unfortunately). So the battle really becomes Wolverine vs. Deadpool, and honestly, I don’t think there would be a clear winner, but with Deadpool’s personality and style, I think he would be able to outwit Wolverine, which is why I would hope that Deadpool would win this battle.

9. Since you are part Native American, if you could choose, what would your spirit animal be?
I would like my spirit animal to be a wolf. The wolf is a beautiful creature, has a very high intelligence, can work well alone or in a pack, has a strong sense of loyalty, and a deep desire for freedom. All are qualities that I greatly admire.

10. Growing up, what was your dream job?
Growing up, I went through a lot of dream job phases, but my two favorites (and still are today), are to be a Radio Personality/Radio Host, and a High School Teacher.I’ve always enjoyed talking to people and being in a profession where I can help people learn. Hence, why I work in Customer Support, and (as of recently) host the weekly introduction webinar.

11. (Out of the choices below) If you could work any job in the world, what would it be? And why?

A. Private Island Caretaker
B. Netflix Tagger (Pro Binge Watcher)
(Yes these are real jobs)
C. Water Slide tester
D. Aplos with the coolest people ever

As tempting as it would be to be a Netflix Tagger (and it is VERY tempting haha), I feel that my life would be more useful/beneficial if I continued to work for an amazing company like Aplos with all of the awesome people that make up this Team/Family. 😉
