Do I need fund accounting?

Most churches will eventually have the need to track money that has been designated for a specific purpose, such as a Missions or Building Fund, so it is important to be prepared. Fund accounting is a key part of stewardship because it helps you demonstrate that money is used as directed and track the balance of available dollars in each fund.

How does the free trial work?

There is no risk, no obligation, and no credit card required. You can cancel your account at any time. When you are ready to subscribe, you simply enter your credit card on the Subscription page and continue using the software.

Do you process payroll?

We support importing payroll from Sage, ADP, and PayCycle, so you can quickly post your payroll transaction in your accounting. If you run payroll in a different system, you can easily create a journal entry for payroll as shown in this payroll guide.

Can I manage more than one organization?

Can I connect Aplos Accounting with donor management software?

Yes, Aplos Accounting and Aplos Donor Management connect so data is always up-to-date and you don't have to enter things twice. Aplos Donor Management includes a Donor CRM system to schedule reminders, track relationships, and monitor communication history. You can also send email campaigns. Upgrade Standard or Advanced plans to include Donor Management, starting at $20 more per month.

How does Aplos Donations compare with PayPal Donations?

Paypal's standard transaction rate is 2.9% + $0.30 and does offer a discounted rate for 501(c)(3)s, but does not offer ACH. Aplos Donations offers secure bank withdrawals (ACH) at 2% +$0.30, which is even lower than PayPal's discounted rate. This gives the donor the flexibility to select their preferred method of payment and savings for the organization. In addition, PayPal requires a subscription of $30 per month to accept recurring donations, which is included at no monthly fee in Aplos. Lastly, PayPal does not include unlimited, customizable donation webpages and access to the donor's name, contact information, and donation amount you need for your records.
