We’re excited to announce an improvement to the Income Statement report that will streamline the way you view your data. In late November, we're adding new "Breakdown by" options directly into the Income Statement. Rather than generating multiple reports, you’ll be able to break down your report by Month, Fund, or Tags from one central location.
How it Works
In the Customize panel (accessed from the top right of your Income Statement report), you’ll see a header labeled “Break Down Amounts by”. Under this header is a drop down menu where you can choose how whether you want to see your data by Months, Funds, Tag Categories or Tags and Subtags.
For example, if you select “Funds” and click “Apply”, you’ll then see columns related to each of your funds. You can then apply the Filter by Funds for even more flexibility in viewing your Income Statement by Fund.
After applying filters, you can save a report view to appear on your Reports landing page under Saved Reports.
What is Changing
As part of this improvement, we will be removing the older, separate Income Statement by Fund and Income Statement by Month reports from the Reports landing page. All of this functionality will be available in the main Income Statement. If you saved an Income Statement by Month or by Fund from the legacy reports, those saved reports will now open in the new Income Statement. We’ll automatically preset the Break Down By option in the Customize panel to match whatever you had before (Month or Fund), so your report will look the way you expect. You don’t need to recreate anything, and your saved views carry forward.
We're excited to get this update into your hands and are confident this change will make it easier to get the income insights you need! This update will be rolled out to all customer accounts over the course of a few weeks, beginning in late November.
